Membership Drive 

We'd like to end 2010 on a high note, and for us as user group coordinators, that means enriching the development lives of as many developers and developers-in-training as we can! To that end, we're running our first ever Membership Drive.

We'll have lots of prizes to give away at the end, but if we can get 25 people at the combined November/December meeting (tentatively scheduled for December 9), we'll give away a big prize to one lucky attendee. By "big" we mean a 1-year MSDN Ultimate Subscription, retail value of $11,899 (source: http://msdn.microsoft.com/en-us/subscriptions/buy.aspx, 8/28/2010).

To be eligible to win, you have to be present at the December 9 meeting. But, you don't have to walk in with just one chance to win. Here are a few ways you can boost your chances between now and December 9:

• If you are new to MDSM, and you attend your first meeting you get 2 entries in the hat.
• After your first meeting, you will get an additional entry for each meeting you attend between now and December 9.
• If you bring a friend to a meeting, and it's their first meeting, you'll get an additional entry in the drawing.

We also maintain a Google Group - http://groups.google.com/group/mdsm - where the group can discuss topics and problems that are outside the scope of the monthly meetings (development issues, employment opportunities, etc.).
