"Start a project focused on deployment" by Mark Gilbert
Starting a new project is an exhilarating time. Shareholder excitement is high. Developers are eager to show what they can do. The best thing to do is dive into writing code and get a jump on the task list so you aren't pulling late nights again, right? We'll take a humorous journey to see why making it your first priority to get the build and deployment process right can save person-days of effort and stress throughout the project.
A light dinner will be served at 5:30, followed by the presentation at 6pm. If you're interested in attending,
please RSVP by Tuesday, June 22 to
Contact@DevMI.com so we can get an accurate number for food and seating. If you require a parking tag for the ramps behind the College of Engineering building, please let us know that in your RSVP as well.
Meeting Room
The meeting will be held in room C-123 of the College of Engineering Building on WMU's Parkview Campus (
driving directions). The building is organized into 7 sections, lettered A-G, where Section A is closest to US-131 and Section D is the central hub. The meeting room is on the the first floor at the very edge of sections C and D, in a small hallway off the main one. This smaller hallway is right next to the elevator for Section C, and is in the same hallway as a set of bathrooms.
Park in the West ramp (closest to US-131), enter the building from the ramp, go to the first floor, and turn right. You will now be headed toward section C.
Single-event parking tags are required for the ramps behind the building, and will be available for anyone who needs one (please park and see Mark Gilbert or Mike Eaton). Please let us know in your RSVP if you will require one so we can get an accurate count.
